This 240-hour course consists of 80 hours of classroom study and 160 hours of field experience. After one week of safety and First Aid training, students receive daily seat time on the equipment. The machines typically used are: bulldozer, excavator, and rock truck. We may also use a road grader, loader, or packer depending on availability. Students will work together on an earth-moving project such as building a road or filling in and leveling land. Each student will receive an equal amount of seat time designed to build up the necessary technical skills expected from an entry-level operator.
